Terms of Service
Effective March 21, 2026
These terms govern your use of Cadre ("the app"), developed and published by Something Punny, LLC ("we," "us," "our"). By downloading or using Cadre, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our app.
Relationship with Apple
These terms supplement Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). In the event of any conflict between these terms and the Apple EULA, the Apple EULA will govern. This agreement is between you and Something Punny, LLC — not with Apple. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for Cadre.
What you get
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Cadre on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the Apple EULA and these terms. This includes:
- Use of the app on your personal devices
- Updates to the app during the license period
- Our commitment to protecting your privacy as described in our privacy policy
Subscriptions
Cadre offers a free tier and an optional paid subscription (Cadre Plus). If you subscribe:
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
- Your subscription automatically renews unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of the selected plan
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
- Any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription
How Cadre works with your data
Cadre reads from and writes to Apple's built-in Contacts database. Changes you make in Cadre — edits, merges, deletions — are written directly to Apple Contacts and cannot be undone by Cadre. We strongly recommend backing up your contacts before performing bulk operations. Cadre provides export functionality for this purpose.
Cadre does not maintain its own database of your contacts. If you delete Cadre, your contacts remain in Apple Contacts. If you make a change in Cadre, it is immediately reflected in Apple Contacts.
What we expect
We ask that you not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
- Use the app for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to circumvent any security or access controls
- Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the app
Intellectual property
Cadre, including its code, design, interface, documentation, and all related materials, is the property of Something Punny, LLC. The app is licensed, not sold. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. "Cadre" and the Cadre icon are trademarks of Something Punny, LLC.
Billing and refunds
All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store. We do not collect or have access to your payment information. Billing, taxes, and refunds are handled directly by Apple. For refund requests, contact Apple Support.
Disclaimer of warranties
Cadre is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant that Cadre's suggestions, health scores, or duplicate detection results will be accurate in all cases — always review proposed changes before accepting them.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Something Punny, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Cadre. This includes, without limitation, any data loss resulting from merges, deletions, or other contact modifications made through the app. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to Cadre if you violate these terms. You can stop using Cadre at any time by deleting the app. Upon termination, your contacts remain in Apple Contacts — unaffected.
Dispute resolution
If you have a concern about Cadre, please contact us first. We'll try to resolve it directly. If we can't, these terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when these terms were last revised. Continued use of Cadre after changes constitutes acceptance. For material changes, we will provide notice in the app or on this website.
